On Monday 21 September we welcomed a new member to the team… Adèle Bertier-Vernet is the new project assistant intern at the ESN for the next 6 months! A few questions to get to know her.
Hello Adèle! Why did you choose the Network for your internship?
I’m currently in the third year of a degree in Human and Social Sciences in Lille (France), and the core of my teaching is health, social and SSE. So, this internship is a great opportunity to apply what I’ve learnt to the Network and to issues of health and education coverage.
Is international work new for you?
No, not totally! Still as part of my studies, last year I did an internship for a few months in Togo in the education sector, which I loved. I also speak several languages: French, Italian, and English.
What will you be doing at the Network?
My main task will be to participate in mobilising the Network on the subjects of education for social protection and solidarity, particularly regarding young people. The ESN supports its members in the creation of awareness-raising resources, or the replication of educational schemes internationally. I look forward to working with them!
I will also participate in the coordination of the communication campaign on Universal Health Coverage, which takes place on 12 December every year. It’s an important opportunity, especially in the current circumstances, to mobilise the Network by recalling that education and health are fundamentally linked!
Welcome Adèle!
