On 10 and 11 July 2018 the MGEN group’s annual General Assembly was held at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris. A year after taking up their positions, the President Roland Berthilier and the CEO Isabelle Hébert took stock of the previous year and presented the Group’s future plans. They discussed the challenges that the mutualist movement has been facing for the last few years and the need to find solutions to new challenges in the sector. For this reason, MGEN, along with Harmonie Mutuelle and other Frenchmutuals, created the Groupe VYV, a key player in the field of social protection in France with 10 million members.
The ‘MGEN tomorrow’ strategic plan was reaffirmed during the 2018 General Assembly and seven interregional meetings are planned from December to spread the word on the ground. Finally, the ‘MGEN Partnership’ was created, formed of the Mutual Society for Foreign and European Affairs and Mutuelle des Sportifs. This openness on the part of the MGEN Group enables it remain an attractive mutual society, while continuing to defend the values of social and solidarity economy. Further information here.
