To pave the way of the upcoming creation of a teachers’ healthcare mutual in Burkina Faso, the Education and solidarity Network together with its partners have built up a one year mission on the field to speed up negotiations with the Burkinabe government and work out important details. The mission will especially look into the practical implementation of the law establishing the Universal Health Insurance in the country and its possible consequences for the project. The mission could be funded by the Luxembourg government and would be carried out in Burkina by a permanent project manager. Over time, the creation of the teachers’ healthcare mutual would protect 70 000 educations professionals and their families in Burkina-Faso.
